Stardust

Finally!!! I have been waiting for this! I managed to find the one and only Stardust DVD in the store which is the last of its stock stacked inside a crate. I was shocked to find it on sales at such a cheap price.

Movie: I loved this movie when I watched it in cinemas~ its meant for big screens and surround sound. Its just not the same on tv. It is really easy to follow and it is very predictable as hints are all over the place; in which many people may find annoying now. But nevertheless, its made believable to me for some strange reason...despite that it is a fantasy-genre.

Main Cast (with beautiful names might I add):
Charlie Cox as Tristan Thorn
Claire Danes as Yvaine
Michelle Pfeiffer as Lamia
Robert De Niro as Captain Shakespeare of the Caspartine
Mark Strong as Septimus

Synopsis - Back of movie casing (blurb):
In hopes of wooing a beautiful girl (Sienna Miller), Tristan (Charlie Cox) promises to bring her a falling star. But he's in for the adventure of his life when he discovers the star is actually a celestial beauty name Yvaine (Danes).

When an old witch Lamia (Pfeiffer) attempts to steal Yvaine's youth, Tristan must protect her at all costs. This magical fairytale like no other will make you laugh out loud and believe in love again.

Soundtrack: I am listening to the soundtrack now while typing this out. Gosh! It gives me goosebumps! I don't know why haha maybe because I turned the music all the way!! The soundtrack kinda sounds a bit of Narnia, Gladiator and Lord of the Rings crossover. So I definitely give it thumbs up especially for exhilaration and surprising startles!!

Book: I have the book too! Neil Gaiman is the fabulous fantasy author and his works brought the realm of magic to life. The story in both the movie and the book is a wonderful fantasy that you can escape to and I sometimes really need that from all the "harsh realities" of this world. haha mind you, upon the influence of the movie, I decided to buy the book to read it. Man I need to read it again because I totally forgot the story!

Book + Movie - its a little similar in style although what is written in the book is different to how the movie was shown of course. But I recommend doing either first, its just a matter of preference or if you want to skip the book, definitely watch the movie!

Alright...I will let all the pictures do the talking for you.

These images (wallpapers) were from the official website. The website is so interactive!! It really is....one of the best movie websites that I have ever been to. SO its worth checking out~
