Owie~ here is another food segment!! You have to excuse the number of times that I am revealing food and not about recent games/anime/manga and etc. I am preoccupied lately with other things and I don't as so much watch dramas anymore. SAD!!!! Plus I was thinking about talking about Avatar. Hmm...I think they have enough publicity for it anyway. It was a very very good movie and I highly recommend watching it in 3D.

Anyway! Moving on to Arashi no Shukudai's food segment.

~Sweets in Japan that are rising in popularity~

I know that moments ago (2 posts back), I wanted to show you more about the Team Fortress 2 game that I have been playing. Lately, I have been feeling bad about ignoring this blog :( and to be honest I am missing a few very important components for the game. So unfortunately, I am unable to show you how uber awesome this game is until I retrieve back my missing components!

Shucks....just when I was becoming a better player. In any case! I bring you more delicious treats from the good ol entertainment of Arashi!!

Homework: Research and report sweets that are recently popular in Japan.

Fruits fondue! Guimauve - french for Marshallow. These fruits are dipped in marshmallow fondue. Approx. $5 US.

Supreme thick green tea. This dessert won the Agriculture and Fisheries Award for the use of green tea. It also has gold foil. Approx. $55 US. Ingredients are: green tea, milk and rice flour.

This salt caramel roll is popular among office ladies. This cake has lots of fresh cream and crush caramel rolled in a soft spongecake. The coat is fresh cream made of Italian salt. Approx. $15 US.

I don't know about you, but that green tea dessert really does seem divine. I want to try them all! Most of my next posts will be about Arashi's splendid food corner mainly because I really need to clean up my computer and files. SO please look forward to the upcoming foods!!!

Lovers' Chrissie cakes

AFTER ONE and a half MONTHS!!!! My blog is literally dead isn't it?? I have been totally ignoring it! Anyway, it turns out that my computer really need a clean up which means lots of burning and storing.

I can't believe that I have been ignoring this blog for soooo long!! Its unusual for me to not update frequently anymore :( You can probably guess why though. I have been preoccuppied with Team fortress 2!! I will actually run an update of it later. There is more exciting news in store because..........its XMAS!

MERRY Christmas!! Here I bring to you a very special XMAS food special from Arashi!! Boy I love their food segments. This is totally mouth-watering.

Homework: Present delicious Christmas cake which let us taste the feeling of being lovers. There are 3 types of delicious cakes. Here is a sneak peak of my favourite!! Its the most captivating one ever~

Deliciously deliteful Dumplings!!

It has been a while since I have posted on this blog! (rips off hiatus into shreds). Yumm! I so want to eat fried dumplings right now.....craving for it really!!! In dumpling season mood!

Well I will be organising a dumplings evening with my church buddies so it will be a good time to catch up. Hopefully we can find people to actually make the skin as well. Gyoza is the Japanese term for dumplings 餃子。 Another Arashi food segment here we go!!

Shabu Shabu Meat Udon + Japanese/Italian Udon

Now that life is busy and is charging full speed ahead, I can only set aside my "heavy" reviews (which requires a lot of thought) and work steadily on them. The period that it takes to release them will get longer and longer!! Nooooo but there will be lots of light/fun topics to look at...this blog should turn out interesting in the next couple of months haha.

Homework segment: Report on rare and delicious Udon recipes

Yum! The thin beef is laid on top of the Udon and the boiling soup is poured over it...it starts to brown and it is ready to eat! The key part of this dish is the flavoursome soup! I want to get my hands on it!

Close up!!! Looks good~ though I am not sure if mixing two distinctive flavours such as miso (fermented bean soup) and tomato & cheese will clash. East meets West....どうも！

Foot notes:
Shabu Shabu - literal translation for 'swish swish' is just like a hot pot and raw thinly sliced meat/vegetables are dipped into the hot pot to cook and then dipped into sauces to be eaten.

Fun texture desserts!!

I totally envy all the delicious food that Japan has! From stalls to cafes and restaurants, they always have something interesting to offer. Since I am a sweet tooth, here is another post on Arashi no Shukudai kun's desserts with different textures.

5 flavour wild-party hot pot!!!

**Sizzle sizzle**~ HOT POT!! Yum yum really craving for it now because it is winter at the moment! So cold~ NABE!!!

Introduction first.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun (translation: Arashi's Homework) is just the best show that Arashi members are hosting! They always have guest stars appearing in their shows and the best part about it, is that the guest gets to request the audience to help them in their homework. This time, the homework for the audience was to report on their best household's "hot pot dishes" (every episode with different guests has different homework involving food).

A viewer turned in this recipe that just amazes me so much I just have to post it up! Its called the 5 flavour wild party hot pot!

1st - normal consomme-based soup with chicken, carrots, broccoli, celery, onions and pot-au-feu style. Its delicious if you eat it with mayonnaise.

2nd - Add in fresh cream and it becomes...

...Cream Stew! Add in a bit of salt to heighten the flavour.

3rd - Add in Tomato puree and ketchup + cheese slices and it becomes...

....Italian-style hot pot! Figured it out? You must be good haha

4th - Add in curry roux and stir it to become....

...Curry hot pot! This one is a little easy to figure out hehe.

Lastly, add in rice gruel and voila! The best household hot pot that anyone has ever come up with!

Even Ogura-san, Jun and Aiba are so delighted!

If you have the time and the pot to do this, its definitely worthwhile!!!! You have to keep it cooking on the stove though...so this means that the ingredients will get overcooked. So pay attention to those that cooks very quickly! Particularly chicken!

Man I haven't been updating this blog for ages!!! I was practically up to my head with a lot of mess! Not to mention exams starting on Friday and I just finished a 50% assignment yesterday!! Anyway, for those of you who have been keeping up-to-date with Arashi's new music video there are a number of things I would like to share and of course...just a few amateur goodies.

Also, I will excuse myself these 2 weeks (hiatus) for I need to concentrate on exams. Please bear with me when it won't be updated unless I needed to relax then I will post something haha.

Truth by Arashi

AH! Time for Melodies!

This lovely song to be honest was one of the best ones that I have heard from Arashi! It is so serious and the compelling dance moves really topped it off. Not to mention the instrumental music that moves the whole piece.

Whoo go violins!! hahaha this piece I think, is pretty much different from the ones that Arashi used to sing; especially with the solo singer holding out the melodic line with the others harmonizing in the background with arpeggios....(that was done really well and difficult to accomplish sounding in tune)

The song is actually for the opening of Maou (with Ohno Satoshi in it). meh!!! I want to watch Maou!!!





Anyway, the drama would needed a motivating tune and mysterious parts. Arashi delivered it to the table! The feeling that I got from the music was cool yet sinister, but also sad and crying out in anguish at the same time.

I later on went to find the lyrics and sure enough, the music was filled with such emotions.

All three are lovely expressive songs without rocky elements. This means that I can do my work playing these songs! hahaa oh man sooo funny! But I am singing instead of doing work....tsk tsk not good.

I can't stop listening to Take me faraway! Ohno's voice is more powerful than the rest of Arashi and has the nicest tone! There is always a climax when it comes to certain soundtracks. OHNO's climax part is soooo nice!! hahah what more is there to say? Wonderfully done!

YA! Marks from the day before I had to hand in the assignment with only 2 hours of sleeP!!!!

HEY! Got my marks for my Human Resource Management assignment! I was not too happy with the marking schedule because I have no idea what it was asking and it was pretty much vague. So to my friends who got higher marks than me, well done!!!

YES well I got 28.8 out of 40 which is pretty good considering I was really sleepy at 3am in the morning and decided to sleep 2 hours and get up again to do more of the assignment and finish it off before handing it in at 12pm.
I am somewhat proud of my mark lol if I had spent more time on this assignment, I would've gotten the same results anyway! Who knows?
