Deliciously deliteful Dumplings!!

It has been a while since I have posted on this blog! (rips off hiatus into shreds). Yumm! I so want to eat fried dumplings right now.....craving for it really!!! In dumpling season mood!

Well I will be organising a dumplings evening with my church buddies so it will be a good time to catch up. Hopefully we can find people to actually make the skin as well. Gyoza is the Japanese term for dumplings 餃子。 Another Arashi food segment here we go!!

First up! This dish entered in a 'most beautiful food competition' and claimed gold medal for the world's most beautiful gyoza.

From Sangokushi - shop in Kanagawa-ken is the 'Angel of gyoza' with a mesh-like pattern of an angel.

It has shark fins, prawns, scallops and leeks. $12 USD!

Next! Teppanyaki gyoza (teppanyaki is hot plate).

At $12.50 USD, these dumplings are boiled once, and placed in the stone grill to be fried with dark vinegar, garlic and red hot chilli. Dumplings with chilli is the nicest! Everyone said that it looks like xiao long bao 小龍包。

Lastly! Turkish-style gyoza with youghurt called Mantu at $15.75 USD.

Sour youghurt with paprika and butter sauce.

Lamb and beef mince.

I sooo want the Angel of gyoza. Which ones will you have????
