Secret

Tammy & I went to Danya's house to watch a movie called Secret (不能说的秘密) although the more accurate mandarin translation would be "the Secret that can't be told". Oh & what an extraordinary movie it is!! It is made up of all sorts of elements! Psychological, romance, comedy & mystery put into a whole movie. However, it focuses more on the story raveling among the 2 main characters. It has great influence on music by the way. This movie is solely directed & acted by Jay Chou. Watch it if you are a Jay Chou fan or simply a classical fan!

This story focuses on Ye Xiang Lun (葉湘倫) who is a new student highly involved in music & is an exceptional pianist. He stumbled across a girl Xiao Yu (小雨). Both of them fell in love with each other. Xiang Lun heard a melody played by Xiao Yu on the piano & is curious. Xiao Yu then told him it is a secret. When Xiao Yu stumbled upon Xiang Lun being kissed by another girl, she became very upset & disappeared.

After 5 months, Xiang Lun played a song dedicated to her at the graduation ceremony (The Swan by Smetana). Then, Xiao Yu appeared again to watch him perform. She disappeared yet again & there seemed to be no trace of her. Xiang Lun had to uncover what the secret of hers is and during each event, the story unfolds linking up why people thinks all of a sudden that Xiang Lun went crazy.....up to you to go get it & watch it!

Note: Noticed the ledger lines where the Chinese characters sit on? And the treble clef of the 'S'?

If you are a light hearted person, do not watch this movie by yourself or in the dark. Hehe I know I am scared thinking about it. But this is a good good movie! Go watch it! Music is awesome too.
