仙剑奇侠传(三) Chinese paladin 3

After I had a look at my previous review for Chinese Paladin, yeesh! I needed to touch it up...spelling errors, uncomplete sentences and unwanted titles...haha.

Anyway! I am here to introduce Chinese Paladin 3!! Broadcasting in China would have been over by now. I wish to get my hands on the drama!!! The directors decided that Chinese Paladin 3 had a more appealing story plot therefore, they skipped 2 (which is the sequel to the first drama) and based the drama on the 3rd game - the prequel which occurs 50 years before the first Chinese Paladin drama.

HOWEVER! I have yet to find out how much both series are interrelated or not. Although according to the game, it has minor relations to the original. The only connection made that I know of are the symbolic jaded halves where if in the correct possession of a man and woman, the jaded-halves confirms it by combining into one; thus it cannot be separated. Regardless of what happens, nothing can separate the man and woman who are fated to be together.

The jaded-halves as one.

Synopsis
Jing Tian is a mischievous pawnshop assistant who because of the power of a mystical jade, crosses paths with the spoiled and sassy Tang Xue Jian. Xue Jian is the beloved granddaughter of Tang Manor's Tang Kun, who meets with danger when an evil cult tries to take over control of the Tang Manor. Xu Chang Jing, the eldest disciple of Mount Shu Sect aids the pair in defeating the cult and rescuing the Tang Manor. Meanwhile, Chong Lou, ruler of the evil world, breaks into Mount Shu's Suo Ya Pagoda to retrieve a magical sword. He passes the sword to Jing Tian, claiming that it belonged to the deity in his past life and forces Jing Tian to battle with him.

The 5 elders of Mount Shu Sect call upon Jing Tian and Chang Jing to attain 5 mystical pearls to seal up Suo Ya Pagoda and destroy a powerful force of evil so as to save the world from destruction. In order of 'cast' members from left to right; top to bottom.

Hu Ge!! My favourite wuxia actor~ He is so talented and is always wanted for more roles in wuxia dramas. The girls used are pretty and really young too!! They are fresh faces emerging within the film industry; especially when this tv series is a major motion drama. Though mind you, they have had extensive experience in acting. The one in blue reminds me of Liu Yifei except that her features are softer. Jerry Huang (demon) is the tall Taiwanese dude that acted in 'The Rose' alongside S.H.E in 2003. He really suits this role!

So what do you think? The first time I set my sights on this drama...I was really surprised about how much the outfits would cost! It is so elaborate!! (almost like the game but brought to life haha...) Images are from the official homepage and have been edited to make it look more flawless to give it the appearance of the gaming characters. Likewise for the cinematography it has been thoroughly grafted and refined for a smoother appearance.

This 8-minute Chinese trailer is a good insight to the graphics and design used in this drama. The first few shots are from the game itself.
